I recently went to a bowling party at the local bowling alley. I went to the concession stand to buy some drinks for me and some memebers of my family. The guy gives me the drinks, I take them and walk away. Half way to my table, I relize how cheap the drinks were. Three small drinks each for 1.05. That would make my total bill 3.15. I paid a grand total of ..... 0.00. I stopped dead. I was astounded by two things.
1. I was able to do math during the summer
2. I had forgotten to pay the guy
Without thinking twice, I turn around and tell the guy that he didn't charge me. Both he and the guy working the french fry maker-thing were shocked that I came back to tell him. Frech Fry even said he would have kept his mouth shut and walked away. If I were Soda Guy, I'd keep an eye on the cash register. Does any one else thinks this is a bad sign?

Of High Heels and Jack Sparrow
Today was spent in Amarillo, watching movies and trying on dresses. The least painful will be related first.
My family and I went to see the second Pirates of the Carribean movie. It had all the sword fights, action, Jack Sparrow humor and even a scene when Orlando Bloom's charater got his shirt ripped off! (wolf whistle!)
This was movie was mostly setting up for the last one in the series. Fun, but you can miss it and still mostly understand what happens in the next one.
The painful part of my day was spent trying on dresses. I don't like dresses. I can't even remember the last time that I last wore a dress. But we ended up with a nice green dress. For some reason, I feel safe wearing green. Guess there's something comforting about that color for me. Long story short, we got a whole outfit, complete with high-heels. Any one that knows me will either fall over dead right now or will be laughing their heads off. For every one who doesn't know me that well, I don't even wear alot of sandals. So the prospect of wearing a pair of sandal high-heels, much less walking and dancing, for an entire evening is some what daunting for me, someone who has rescued an aunt from a humongus spider. (ask me later) In preparation, I'm breaking them in/ practicing wearing them. Even sitting in a computer chair, they hurt like heck.
I'm taking off for the week to go to a contest for the entire state of New Mexico. Now, if you excuse me, I have to go wash the dishes in heels and firgure out how and what I'm supposed to say for a pie-crust demonstration.
Lord, help me. Where's that Bo Bice CD?

The Real Thing: Bo Bice
Its my life, my time to find the answer
Don't always know what kind of roads in front of me
But I'll go slow, wanna remember every moment
that passes by because this ride is every thing
It's my life
Isn't that awesome? Those are the lyrics to the chorus of My Life by Bo Bice. The song is on the album,The Real Thing. Very rightly named. As fans of American Idol will remember, Bo was on the show last year and wowed thousands with his mic-stand skills and his Rock and Roll style. He made it all the way to the finals. Bo Bice, the rocker vs. Carrie Underwood, country singer extrodanair. And the next night, Carrie joined thousands of other country singers while Bo stood back and clapped. I have nothing against Carrie. I just don't like country and I don't like the fact that rock lost to country.
Needless to say, I was estatic when I heard Bo singing the title song of his album on the radio. I got my greatest wish when we found the album. Now, it's one of my favorite CDs, the song above one of my favorites on it. The CD is great. If you see it in the store, BUY IT!!! You will not regret it. The songs are mostly love songs with a song called Valley of Angels, which I don't like so much. It's not all rock, so those of you who are squeemish about that branch have nothing to fear. These are the choruses to some of my favorites on the CD...
My World:
Does he make you high?
Does he make you real?
Does he make you cry?
Does he know the way you feel?
Love is all around you, your universe is full
But in my world, there is only you
Great or what? Please believe the teen you have never seen, THIS IS NOT A WASTE OF MONEY OR YOUR HEARING! And with that, go buy the disc while I go find mine.

Hundred Percent Natural
Alright, people of the world, this is the story so far. I'm Carmen, this is my first blog and I am a TEEN-AGER! Yeah, thats right. I'm the rebelious punk you see walking around bobbing their heads to the hard core rock in their CD player. Ok, I'm not a rebelious punk. But I do listen to Iron Maiden at times.
I'm going to keep it real, my blogging bruthas! and sistas, too! This is a veiw into my head, so don't litter it with cuss words and other inapropriate stuff. Other than that, no real rules.
Well, I'll be going now. I have to or my mom will drag me off by my ears. Plus, I just got back from babysitting. These posts probably won't always be the same distance apart, bare with me! Not sure on the spelling on that. Hmm, Awe well! Blog it up! Good night everybody!
